Big thank you! My dog has terrible anxiety about going to the vet office and your visit out to the house was even easier than I could have ever imagined. Great service!

Dr. R and Holland are both great with my 13 year old poodle-Bichon sweetheart, Wendy. Wendy's comfy with them and likes having her doctor come to our home.

Julie T.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost for a veterinary housecall?

The prices for laboratory procedures, vaccinations, medications, exams, and euthanasias are similar to costs at veterinary hospitals around Leland and Wilmington, NC. The only additional charge you can expect beyond what a regular stationary veterinary practice would charge is a housecall fee.

The standard housecall fee is $80 (with an exam) and $90 (without an exam- vaccines only and do not want flea/tick/heartworm preventatives).

This includes a one-way drive to your home less than or equal to 20 miles from the Ogden area in Wilmington, NC (near Dr. Reinhart’s office space). There is an additional mileage surcharge for trips beyond 20 miles. Please call for a trip fee estimate and any other questions about prices.

Where does Dr. Reinhart practice?

Dr. Reinhart will travel in the New Hanover County as well as some portions of Brunswick and Pender counties in NC.

What services is Dr. Reinhart unable to provide?

No Place Like Home Mobile Pet Vet, PLLC provides medical care for dogs and cats only.

Dr. Reinhart does not have the capability to perform surgeries or sedate aggressive or severely scared pets in the home. Without a full staff, general anesthesia, oxygen, and intubation tubes in case of a bad reaction, it’s just not safe. If your pet is extremely sick, Dr. Reinhart will recommend referral to a veterinary hospital that is capable of hospitalization. Dr. Reinhart is also unable to perform X-rays (although, ultrasounds can be coordinated with another mobile ultrasound veterinarian if needed or with a veterinary hospital.)

In addition, she is not equipped to perform emergency services. Click here for emergency recommendations for practices to take your pet to if an emergency arises.

What are the payment policies for services?

Payment in full is expected at the time services are provided. This can be accepted in the form of:

  • Cash
  • Local checks
  • MasterCard*
  • VISA*
  • American Express*
  • Discover*

*There is a 3% processing fee for all credit cards.

Unfortunately, due to the small size of her practice, Dr. Reinhart does not accept CareCredit.

Does Dr. Reinhart have access to any drug my pet may need?

Yes. Dr. Reinhart carries many common prescriptions with her, based on the nature of the appointment you have set up. If she does not have a particular medication, she can help you set up an account with her online pharmacy where many other products are available.

There are some medications Dr. Reinhart can call into a local regular or special compounding pharmacy, or write you a prescription that you can take to your favorite pharmacy location.

What are the appointment hours?

Appointments are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Please contact us by phone at 910-302-6462 or email by clicking Contact Us. Dr. Reinhart or her assistant will contact you back within one business day.
